D Lei è direttore da molti anni. Ha visto passare tanta gente,
famosa e non. Ci racconti qualche episodio, aneddoto, una
visita che le è rimasta impressa.
Qui è passato di tutto, attori, cantanti, sportivi, politici (pochi
per fortuna). Non c’è un personaggio in particolare, anche se
mi ricordo alcune difcoltà di “gestione” con qualche star della
musica. Ovviamente per questioni di riservatezza non si fanno i
nomi. Ci sono inveceepisodi tragicomici che
succedono a un direttore, tipo il medico che
durante un congresso mi viene a cercare
per dirmi che non era con la moglie e che
la moglie stessa era in albergo a sua volta
con un altro … e lì si deve tirare fuori tutta
l’inventiva … oppure del giapponese a cui
per sbaglio riassettano la camera durante la
notte con lui dentro!
D Lei mi pare sia molto presente in hotel.
Lo è anche oggi che è sabato pomeriggio.
E’ quindi spesso a contatto con gli ospiti.
Come interagisce con loro?
Di solito per molti ospiti più che un direttore
sono quasi un amico. Ho sempre impostato
il mio modo di essere con la massima naturalezza. Come dicevo
ho“gestito”vip e persone normali sempre con naturalezza.
D Ci sono sogni che ancora non è riuscito a realizzare qui al
Principe? Cosa vorrebbe fare o cambiare?
Vorrei avere in gestione diretta il bagno davanti, gestito da anni
dal Comune e purtroppo in modo a mio vedere sbagliato. Vorrei
creare un vero Beach Club conmolteplici attività per meravigliare
e sorprendere sempre i nostri ospiti. Vorrei che chi amministra
questa città, unica e bellissima nel suo genere, avesse una visone
Q You have been director for many years. You have seen
many guests, famous and not. Tell us about some episode or
anecdote, a visit that made an impression on you.
We have seen everything here, actors, singers, sportsmen,
politicians (few, luckily). There is nopersonage inparticular, even
though I remember a few ”management” problems with some
music stars. Obviously, for privacy reasons I cannot mention
names. There are, instead, tragicomic
episodes that befall a director, such as the
doctor who, during a conference, came
to fnd me to say that he was not with his
wife and that his wife was in the hotel with
someone else - and here one has to be very
creative - or the case of the Japanese man,
whose roomwas mistakenly cleaned during
the night with him present!
Q It seems to me that you are very present
in the hotel. You are even here today,

with the guests. How do you interact with
them?
Often for many guests I ammore of a friend
than a director. I have always tried to behave as naturally as
possible. As I was saying, I have always ”managed” vips and
normal people in a natural way.
QAre there dreams you still have not been able to realise here
at the Principe?What would you like to do or change?
I would like to have the management of the bathhouse
opposite the hotel, managed for years by the municipality and,
unfortunately - in my opinion - in the wrong way. I would like to
create a veritable Beach Club with myriad activities to always
