iaperto nel dicembre 2010 dopo un restauro di tre anni,
il Grand Hotel Villa Cora è una residenza aristocratica,
risalente all’epoca in cui Firenze era capitale d’Italia.
Costruito dal barone Oppenheim, in omaggio alla sua giovane
sposa, rispecchia gli stilemi architettonici dell’epoca, fortemente
infuenzati dal gusto neoclassico.
La villa principale ospita le sale comuni e 30 fra stanze e suite,
in stile ed arredamento diferente. Davvero delizioso il quarto
piano, ispirato all’amore per le rose della principessa Eugenia,
moglie di Napoleone III e habitué della villa. Alla nobildonna è
dedicato anche il Villino Eugenia, una dépendance afacciata
sui giardini del Bobolino, composta da 14 stanze, decorate con
motivi esotici. Al limitare del parco si trova invece La Follie, una
piccola residenza di charme, che accoglie solo due camere, per
una privacy pressoché totale.
Molte le possibilità di relax oferte agli ospiti. La spa con
tiepidarium, hammam e sauna propone massaggi e trattamenti
sia di tradizione europea che orientale. Il Bar Long permette di
gustare squisiti drink fra gli antichi dipinti a efetto bassorilievo
e le luci cromatiche del bancone in cristallo, in un mix di antiche
e moderne suggestioni visive. Infne la meravigliosa piscina
esterna con getti idromassaggio, contornata di statue in candido
marmo, per il piacere di un bagno da moderna grande dame.

e-opened in December 2010 after a three-year restoration,
The Grand Hotel Villa Cora is an aristocratic residence,
dating back to the era when Florence was the capital of
Italy. Built by Baron Oppenheim, in homage to his young wife, it
refects the architectural style of the epoch, heavily infuenced by
the neoclassical style.
Themain villa includes the commonareas and rooms and suites,
totaling 30, with diferent styles and furnishings. The fourth foor
is delightful, inspired by the love for roses of Princess Eugenie,
wife of Napoleon III and habitué at the villa. Villino Eugenia, a
dépendance overlooking the Bobolino gardens, is also dedicated
to the noblewoman. It is comprised of 14 rooms decorated with
exotic motifs. At the end of the park, instead, we fnd La Follie, a
charming little residence which has only two rooms and almost
total privacy.
Many relaxation possibilities are ofered to guests. The spa, with
tiepidarium, hammam and sauna, proposes massages of both
European and Oriental traditions. The Bar Long serves exquisite
drinks amid the antique bas-relief paintings and a crystal bar with
coloured lighting in an antique and contemporary setting. Finally,
there is the marvelous outside pool with hydro-massage jets,
surroundedby candidwhitemarble statues, for a pleasurable swim
as amodern grand dame.
